I was looking at getting a new backbox:

Just wondering how easy it would be to fit to a 106, if its worth doing it myself or getting a garage to do it..

5" exit?!? that is too large IMO go for a 2" or 3", a direct fit will either fit on the existing bracket after the back box, or will have the mid section perminently attached, so then it would join where the mid section would. however if you get a universal exhaust, you will need to cut your old exhaust up and weld it on. you will find most garages like, kwick fit or halfrauds etc won't fit exhausts like that

Please don't buy a universal heap like that, sorry to sound brutal but it will sound and look crap.
Check out http://www.potn.com and look through their backbox's specific to the Peugeot 106.

Sportex have quiet a cheap sound, if that makes sense. Spending a little extra will make sure you get a nice tone rather than a wet fart.

Look at supersprint, not the race one but the slightly older version.

Sportex backbox. I don't think it sounds like a wet fart  Always get good reviews with 106 people.
