upto level 12 which aint a right lot but im progressing quite quick now ive got a decent weapon


good game specially the single player version although i thought it very short :(

i have it, once you get to level 55 you can enter prestige mode. That means resetting all your unlocked weapons and special abilities. Currently at level 17 (72 in total) in the first stage prestige. I seem to level up shed loads when i spend a decent amount of time on it. My two fave guns have to be the M16 with red dot and the G3 with red dot. I sometimes use the M4 carbine with grenade launcher when i fancy being a whore ;P

I got this for my xbox 360 over christmas - the house mate got it and was showing me the multiplayer on live - looked awesome

But it wont work at all on mine - everytime I find a game it says "lobby closed" then "player kicked"

Apparently its a known bug and xbox live has been shit for 2 weeks - not impressed! :(

Rich, you need to play multiplayer! Play on games like Team Deathmatch, Headquaters etc. and you'll get your rank up and unlock weapons a lot quicker. Free For All is fun but you score low points unless you can get a massive kill streak.

Jon managed to get over 3000 points in one Headquaters game.

Looking at some forums and alot of ppl are having the same problem as you fuzzy

The second is to keep trying to join a room until you are the host. Then you'll be able to play. Then, you need to rank up to level 4. Once at level 4, you change all of your create a class to the defaults and you'll be able to play a game every time. But all of your perks and weapons will be the default ones until you rank up and only some of the perks and weapons will be available, most will be locked.

Ive fallen in love with the G3 with Red lazer sight. Nothing better than that "dink" noise you hear when you get a headshot :D

There may be private servers though.

Dave - You cant add the game to Steam :( Well you can add the shortcuts but thats it. It wont let you add the game via its product code as it doesnt support that for COD4 :(

IIRC, this is when they release an expansion pack. For example when Call of Duty first came out they later released "Call of Duty: United Offensive" which was an addon. It gave you new maps, new weapons etc.

So you could (I think) enable/disable the United Offensive expansion pack when playing online.

multiplayer takes a while to adapt to i found cos its nothing like playing on the comp cos the enemy actually thinks more and runs about as apposed to standing about shooting at ya


im just about to hit level 40 i think now with about 25 hours play in total



just got an awesome add on that alows me to use 2 main weapons so now i have 4 grenades for the launchers and 2 automatic guns to choose from :)

and it meens on maps that i use a sniper rifle on i can take the m60 with G/L as a back up weapon for when the enemy gets too close for comfort :)

i agree :D im level 41 now. started playin team hardcore. it's so much more realistic. G36C, digital cammo, R700 on the back couple of claymores, jobs a gooden! sumtimes ditched the sniper tho for slight of hand. depends which level im on. also got the sniper as main weapon in another class for ghillie suit action :p lol

Well, after some hardcore games over the last few days, I am now lvl 50. Oh yes. Look out for "PatButcher" online (PC) :D

Current class of choice: M14 Rifle with ACOG scope. D'Eagle as side weapon. Claymores and flash 'nades.

Although the Barrett .50 cal sniper is pretty l33t... simply because of the noise it makes and the blood splatter when you catch someones head with it.

only thing that got be about the single player is that if you sit back and shoot from distance the enemies just keep coming. i spose it's a good way of forcing you forward but not very realisitic.

I wouldnt even bother downloading the demo fred, its fucking awesome believe me. The best game that has been released all year without a doubt.

My old Pentium 4 PC with 2gb of ram and a 2600 XT ran it fine.

The game is much more fun on PC than on Xbox - you have more control over your movements with mouse and keyboards.
Also if the game becomes competetive then people are able to join up to leagues as teams etc and play it properly. Xbox games never allow you to do this as you constantly join random servers with random people.

Hmm i really cant see how a xbox control pad would out perform a PC player.
I could 100% guarantee that if the top Xbox player and top PC player were to have a faceoff, the PC player would win.

Ive played FPS games for PC's since i was about 11, and its all about getting your mouse sensitivity spot on so that your hand naturally knows where to move when you see an enemy.
Nowadays i dont even aim properly, i just flick my mouse to their heads and the rest is history.

I haven't got time to dig out the article, but it was planned for one of the recent FPSs to have X360 and PC players on the same servers. It was canned because the PC version needed to be compromised to make it an even playing field. You just can't turn/aim as fast with a joypad as you can with a mouse. Nearly all console shooters have an aspect of auto-aim you cannot turn off to compensate for this.

I doubt it about the controls as well.

My pc used to be upto spec all the time but since getting into console's I let it slip as the cash you can spend on a single graphics card can amount to more than a console,

I will agree you have the edge on the pc, I used to use a razor boomslang a few years back cracking mouse, Now I use an Logitech MX510 & a Zboard for the ultimate edge, Mind you I've not used my pc to play games on for about a year or 2 now.

I agree whole heartedly with that about the slight auto aim on consoles, very annoying

Microgay plan to merge online play between xbox users and pc users... I think an autoaim still gives the PC users a HUGE advantage... We all know it's a piece of piss aiming with a mouse than a thumbstick!
