Hi,
at the minute my ecu light is on, i know what is causing this its my decat and the second sensor being sleeved. My question is if i make a hole in the decat for the sensor will this affect the running of the car when it reads the data?
thanks!

in theory it should make a difference. the second sensor picks up the reading from the "converted/clean" gases and adjusts the fuel mixture in order to make the gases acceptable for emission regulations if they aren't within the correct reading. if there is no cat fitted, it will constantly be picking up "dirty" gases and want to do something about it!
but on my last 106 which had 2 lamdba sensors, i had a decat with the 2 sensors plugged in (modified the down pipe) and it made no difference and the ecu light never came on.

im pretty sure makeing a hole will effect the running off it
Off topic but *also with a decat pipe would that make me fail M.O.T on emmisions?

i had the same problem, drove my car with my de-cat and all was well for a month, then it came on and wouldnt go off. spoke to Pug about it and wondered if they could tell the ecu there is no fault, as i wasnt going to pay for stupid labour cost for that i was told by them to:
unplug the battery for a while, get under and take the sensor out the sleeve, connect it all back up, start the car, then turn it off, disconnect battery again, put the sleeve back on, finally reconnect it all and off it goes! :D
it worked for me?! :o
