New Mirrors Wont Fit? (Pics)

Hey,

I just got some new mirrors for my 106, as my old ones had broken :(.

My car is a 106 Indepdence 1.1 Phase 2, the mirrors that I got said that they where sutiable for 106's from 91 to 02. But for some reason they dont fit right on the inside of the car, the stick that you use to move the mirrors dont stay in? ....

As you can see the two stalks are different? ... Could I start rubbing it down to make it fit? Or would buying new inside mirror covers work? ...

i presume those mirrors are phase 1 so you'd have to buy phase 1 inner covers. try rubbing it down as long as you can get the securing screw in it shouldn't matter. Is there not slot on the new bit like the old bit to slide into the locator bit?

Yeah as lacky said, undo that screw all the way and there should be a flat side on the mirror adjuster to locate into the inner plastic cover, if not, get 'a' filing!
