should be fine, just make sure it doesnt get too hot, use water with the polish to keep it cool if needed.
watch some youtube vids to get an idea of what your doing before you start.

ok cheers m8 what polish do i need to use with it?
Think that's bad? I've got a halfords one lol. Depends what you are polishing. Is it badly faded paint? Or just a sunday thing? If its a sunday thing then autoglym super resion should do. If its badly faded (or matte :p) then G10, but WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING! if your paint starts stripping then dont blame us lol.
i used a spray bottle full of water when im doing it and spray it when im applying the polish.

ok i will get a scrap pannel to start with like n so u wash the car n then wash the suds off n then leave it wet, then apply the super resin polish (sunday thing) n then as i start to polish spray more water on? ny one done a guid for it?
Right aye wash the car then dry it with a chamois, leather preferably ;). Then apply the polish onto the surface (evenly) or apply a cross of polish to the polisher pad and dab onto the panel in even spaces.
Then with your polisher against the panel fire her up and polish, then apply your buffing pad to the poliser and buff it up.
Just out of interest have you used one of these before?
Watch some of these videos in this thread i posted, its good about using the machine polisher and polishing up wet sanding, watched it a few times before i gave it ago (even though he recommended not doing it on factory paintwork )

if its the top one i wold suggest gettingloads of practice before touching it with a car as they are lethal!
the main one for been it will burn throguh the paint if used wrong etc
and another quite hard to control espechilly if uv not got a variable speed one! will be jumping all over the place with it!
if its that bottom rac one you wont do any damage but then again realy it moves to slow to be used with any swirl remover etc,

yeah they arent the 'orbital machine polishers' that most people talk about for removing swirls etc..
it will be good for quickly applying and removing wax'/polish but wont be good at paint correction.
