My igniton barrel has been faulty for 6 months or so.

Basically the key becomes randomly stuck in the barrell.
And theres no way u can remove it , u just have to keep trying till it comes out... This could be upto 25minutes!

Iv tried turing thepower on n off, moving the wheel all of that rubbish there is no way to remove it basically.

When the key is in the barell and u move the key around the actual barrel feels generally loose.

Would i be able to remove my ignition barell and replace it with one from another series 2 ingiton barell? With the key that comes with th enew barell.

Or is it not that straight forward?

The ecu just reads the code from the key - which goes from the pick up ring around the ignition coil

It unbolts mate and all the wiring are on 3 clips under the steering column :)
