Alright lads.
I was thinking about organising the next meet for this area, and decided to steal blackxsi's idea of go-karting. Cheers mate! :D

I was thinking of organising this for the end of November/early December in order to get the maximum turn-out. Could meet in a car park beforehand and convoy if people are interested.

I'll post this up on www.sussex-pugs.co.uk (http://www.sussex-pugs.co.uk) and try to get those guys to come.

Just scouting for interest at the moment, and I also need to find out how we pay, don't want to book it for 10 people to have only two show and get a reet expensive session!

Just a bit more information on this one. The karting place is run by Team Sport who've got a few places in the UK.

I've been there before with work. Was a really good day.. knackering though :p If we can definitely (guaranteed) get 10 people, we can book a team event I think. Where you work in teams (2-3 drivers per team), have pit stops etc. and at the end there's a trophy presentation for the fastest team. 10 minute warm up and 45 minutes of racing.

i looked into this for a work gathering and i think i works out at about 35quid for what you mentioned dave (think it was 12 people +)
Im definatley interested in this, but not putting my name down for this yet as i need to see how much money i have cos im 300 quid overdrawn at the minute and need to do some saving!!
As for a good date, remember the christmas gathering is on gthe 8th december....not too sure how many people are going to that from round here, but i have put my name down for it

So we may have the minimum required which is 10 people for a team event, where you work in teams of 2-3. But as always, the more the merrier! And we need to make sure we don't let the Sussex Pugs boys get on the podium :p

As I've said, I will try my hardest to find out some prices and availability tomorrow. Jonny-R is going to find out as well in case I forget :)

OK, I've just called up to find out prices and availability. To be honest, it's more expensive than I first thought. I think the prices have gone up since we last went with work. November is fully booked up, apart from Sundays which probably isn't the best day for the majority of people.

In terms of numbers, we need 14 people to do a team event which involves a 10 minute warm up and 45 minutes of racing. There would be 2 drivers per team, sharing one kart (not at the same time!). Your team has to put in as many laps as possible in the fastest time.

The cost would be £39.95 per driver for a team event. I tried to get some form of discount but they wouldn't budge.

I know this price may put quite a few of you off. So if you're no longer interested can you please post a reply or copy/paste the last name list and remove your name from it and re-order the numbers.

If its not on a saturday then im afraid i wont be attending, the price doesnt put me off, the distance is a bit more than i first thought, but thats not a problem either. So for now im still in.
