as a few people have either got the 1/4 mile bug or think they can get quicker out of there cars on a better surface a few of us have decided to head to york raceway on sunday 14th october



York Raceway is situated on the old Melbourne Airfield, near Melbourne, Seaton Ross and Pocklington, south west of York. It's signed from the north and south, from junction 37 off the M62
YO42 4SS


prices are

£10 to watch
or

a further £25 to run)so £35 if you wish to run


sign on is at 9am
racing starts around 10am

we will be getting there for about 8 - 8.30 as usual. queing for scruitineering & sign on can be hell if you get there at the wrong time. they start scruitineering at 9am and race at 10am, then classes start 11am.

yorkshire lad - i think that a 15 is very optimistic with such few mods. stick some sticky tyres on and put your headlight back in and you may just reach it.

my 1.4 xsi ran a 16.2 in the damp at york, we thought we could get into the 15s but never did :(

i was a bit dissapointed with the times to be honest as i ran a 14.7 last time in my spaxo with very few mod's:confused:
but having said that the track was slippy and i was setting of steadily and only nailing it once it was in second but it was still just spinning the wheels:mad:, oh well after a play with it over winter it will be back and with a bit of luck faster than ever;)
