View Full Version : The national day evening "events"

I have just got back from a loooong weekend at the national day and read a 14 page thread about the stuff that happened to wizza's car on the camp site on Saturday night
I have NEVER been so pissed off with members of this club as I am RIGHT NOW!!
For a start - Tom (unreal) actually did come and apologise to me, and to wizza IN PERSON at the show first thing this morning!
Me and Leah personally sat and watched 6 people destroy tents, and play pranks on 2 cars in the car park (not just wizza's!)
The one person I'm least upset with is Tom, as he personally had enough balls to apologise to both the club and shakespeare raceway. He was kicked out which meant missing the main show day - and allowed the club to continue to use the event in coming years
As for the other 4 or 5 people who didn't apologise or admit to it this morning - thats a little dissapointing and a bit crap to let Tom give up his day and shoulder all the blame (with mike)
Now for some reality checks!
Yes wizza was upset, and any of us would be but this was NOT a malicious attack. No-one went out to wreck wizza's car
Basically it was one of those ideas that probably seemed hilarious to a group of lads who had a lot of alcohol - but in reality it wasnt so funny
I don't believe wizza's car suffered any permanent damage and if it did Im sure the guys will sort it for him
The amount of posts I have just read saying "glad I didnt go" - well I am absolutely f*cking disgusted
A lot of people put a LOT of time and effort into organising what was supposed to be a national day for the club
There are over 110 names on the attendee list, and less than 40 turned up!!!
HOW DARE you guys sit their and say "glad I didnt go" - I'm appauled!
There were a few people doing doughnuts all night in cars and a few trying to flame their exhausts by bouncing off the limit after most were "asleep" - they aren't getting ripped apart or singled out!
There were people starting fires in the camp site to keep warm - and then throwing paint tins in themm, which then exploded covering a lot of stuff in paint.. they arent being singled out either
At the end of the day if you get a large group of people together with a large amount of alcohol then shit happens. People think its funny and its not - but thats just what happens
This morning I had a boot full of someone else's vomit - which took 2 hours to clean and my car still smells
But I'm not coming on here slagging the lad off - he was pissed, apologised to me and thats fine
Wizza as far as I know enjoyed today - did some brilliant times for a 1.1 (quicker than some quiksilvers!) and all was fine..
So lets just move on
After reading that thread - with all the "glad I didnt go" and club bashing - I'll say one more thing
If you dont wan't to attend the events of the club, be part of our community, or think this club is shit
PLEASE do me and everyone else a favour and just stop using the site! Theres plenty of other clubs you can go to and this club wont miss you when you're gone!

14 F*cking pages deleted - and if people want to reply here with comments they can - but be warned if I see any more stuff like what was said on that thread - there will be 30 day bans given out!

blimey, what happened then guys?
apart from the bits ive read above, was the show day good?
hope it was phil:)
Fuzzy Orange
30-09-2007, 10:26 PM
Just to put a final end to "what actually happened"
A group of lads got REALLY drunk, decided collapsing a few tents would be funny but also broke into wizza's car and stripped it
Took parts off which had to be found laid all over camp site - then pushed it behind a big hedge
Tom (unreal) apologised, took the whole blame himself although I believe Mike was kicked out aswell due to revving his car or something
I mean shakespeare were going to ban all 106 owners from running due the activities in the night - Tom and Mike took the blame, left early and missed the whole day so we could all run and have a good day
What they did was wrong, owning up to it and not letting the club take the shit over it was a brave thing to do - and they don't deserve the amount of abuse they got from a load of people who couldn't even be arsed to turn up to the event and support the club
End of - Im going to get some sleep

Yeah Jazzle it was cool, but I would of liked it if the group got together a bit better.
I had to leave early on Sunday though to get back for work (as did brother and his girlfriend) so don't know what went on on that day.
dont suppose we could hear some good things? and mayb some nice pictures?

thats what i was aiming at lol, i want to hear what happened show day and 1/4 stuff:)
unfortunately i could make it phil as i blew my clutch up and spent saturday doing that, and also found a few other urgent bits that need doing, such as my slight missing of a bolt on my ecu side engine mount haha!
Fuzzy Orange
30-09-2007, 10:36 PM
LOL running with 2 bolts is fine mate - in fact its recommended *EEK*
Well good stories - my car ran a 16.6 which im still blown away by - quickest 1.4 on the day by miles :D
Had a good laugh, usual show crew were there and everyone had a good time both today and camping
Sleeping in a car and losing feeling in my feet from cold wasnt as much fun, but the company made up for it :)

I really wanted to go to this, but due to finding out saturday morning that i have bought a car that has seen the wrong side of a barrier or something, it was not safe to do the 200 mile trip. Im glad that we are allowed back, as i want to go next time when the cars sorted out fully. Ive not been to any shows yet with the club, but i will do in the future, but something always comes up to stop me.

yeah, that way we would most likely be running against each other rather than 500BHP monsters
was a great weekend.
i really think next time we have an event like that tho that we should park up in the pits so we showed more of a pressence to anyone outside the club.
was crap going up against 11 second escorts too, its much more fun going up against something similar so you can hhave a close race.
i agree with joe about having name badges too so that we know who each other are.
and sorry to phil for giving him constant abuse all weekend, he looked like he was gonna pop saturday night! so i carried on all day sunday lol. you know you love it big man,
Mint club, mint members, mint weekend, end of.
Was a learning experience for us on how to organise nationals for next year, name tags are going to be a must.
Good times, good people and good booze, what more do people want.
Bring on the track days, and my car finally being ready.
Thanks to everyone who came, good to put faces to names, and all I can say is keep supporting the club.
For those 60 or so people who put their names down and didnt show, your loss u missed a cracker, for future reference, for shows next year we are looking into paying a deposit up front, so then we can get a proper figure for people turning up.
Thanks again.

I had an idea at this show about sorting the front of my car out
I can just get a fire going - mask off my windows and plastic work - chuck a couple of cans of silver paint in the fire and run!
It works suprisingly well LOL

LMFAO middle lane hoggers need to DIE a horrible horrible death
I think driving through nottinghamshire with its new "5 cars together is street racing" law with 6 cars covered in race numbers, using just about every lane possible is not the best idea in the world
Was a hell of a lot of fun though
leeds106
01-10-2007, 12:32 PM
its just amaxing how many people not only hog the middle lane but dont notice a 106 flashing there lights on and off to tell them to move over
you may have noticed a few out bursts of mine along the way grrrrr

LMFAO Mark - that guy you were flashing at was hilarious - flashing for like 30 seconds - no-one in inside or outside lanes - and still sat in middle
Undertaking aint big or clever - but the middle lane hogging on the M1 is such a MASSIVE problem - inside lane is clear for like 5 miles and everyone is doing 60mph in the middle grrrrrrrrrr

lol i hate the middle lane, i'll do 70 in what ever lane is clearest, but if i get stuck behind someone in the middle lane doing 60 (i've seen 45 before!!) its a ball ache to overtake in the fast lane if you've had to slow down and everyone is overtaking them, i'll admit i've undertaken in this situation before
oh and i move if somone faster is rapidly approaching me too lol i only have a 1.1 past 70 its like being in an old prop engine stlye fighter (loud and rattling)
Fuzzy Orange

Try telling leah that - she was (on private road obviously) doing 105mph in her 1.1 when I was behind her at the weekend LOL
Chris106_1.1
01-10-2007, 03:11 PM
only 105 on a private road, i've had 110 out of mine on private land, slight incline may have helped. car does cope a ok at that speed phil just wouldn't want to push such a small engine.
So LEAH slow down in your 1.1

:D sat nav said 105, speedo said somewhere around 110. anyway, the steering wheel stops vibrating at around 90, so thats a good reason to do 105 when possible on the private roads - bit noisy though :p
still wanted to go though bless it, wish i had had more road

so pissed off with myself right about now for binning my car this has been one of the best weekends ever and one of the best meets i've been too would have loved to have been on the strip aswell.yeah it got a little rowdy and the daft went a touch too far once or twice but its all sorted everyone who went had massive grins on thier faces as they went home and thats what matters at the end of the day
people should also make the effort and come and say hi when they turn up instead of parking up and wandering off then coming back collecting thier car and going home not really very social is it?

as daunting as it is bud just wander over and say hi we are all friendly and full of banter so we wont bite,i know its hard wandering over to a big group of people you dont know and introducing yourself but once its over you'll make yourself some really sound friends i know myself and shell certainly have
what i said isnt a dig and any one person in particular or even just for the national day it happened at FCS and trax too why come on the stand if you arent going to join in and get to know people you might aswell just park in the car park
