Sloppy gearbox?

Finding the gearbox abit sloppy, a couple of times I've slowly lifted the clutch to knock it into first and also in 4th. Thinking of checking the linkages first, is that the best place to start? I did have the gearbox oil drained and replaced as the my mate changed one of the gators for the mot, maybe he knocked them out of place?

Yeah check the linkages are tight and present.

There is a way of emasuring the lengths and adjusting them too.

Theres a black ball that locates into a Circular tube, make that sure thats in and tight, not worn at all.
