There is a bolt at each end behind the inner arch trim, two each side just underneath the headlights, the passenger side is next to where the multi plug is fitted so is quite awekward to get to, and there are three along the bottom of the radiator. The bumpers are removable in about 10 minutes, i usually remove the lights but it is not needed. There is also one bolt through a stabiliser bar which im sure goes to the washer bottle.

its off yeah, but im having trouble re-fitting the XSI one. cus its fixings r further out n stuff

I can quite literally only fit two screws in properly?

and the one by the multiplug keeps moving out of place.

basically...im stumped. lol


any1 help? :(

I fitted an xsi one on mine, the towing eye is in a different place and the hole needs cutting for it, then the bumper will sit further back. I went from a graduate bumper to an xsi bumper and the towing eye was the only bit to modify.

My towing eye is fine. it just doesnt seem to wanna go on properly. the bolts in the arches are nowhere near the bumper and i literally have a good hands width in between the bumper and where it needs to be by

Definately check the towing eye again, as it will fit over it but i needed to cut down about an inch to allow the bumper to sit correct ( as it wouldn`t allow the bumper to be pulled up at the back, so the bolts wouldn`t fit back in ), and mine is the same year and model as yours. The bottom bolts need to be removed as well from the radiator panel and if the headlights are out then it is easier to line up.

That is what it should fit like with the modification to the towing eye, and ive also fitted xsi arches at the same time as the bumper was off. It now has gti arches and side skirts but still the xsi front bumper.
