Its a community site for 106 owners
Its split into sections as answers are usually not helpful to others. Questions on cams for a gti wont help 8v people. Questions on lowering a flat arched 106 wont help quiky/gti owners
If you think you can help people with gti's just read the gti forums ;)
Your feedback is interesting but I think if it was just a 106 chat forum it would be very difficult to find useful topics for your own vehicle
We have club stickers already, flyers will be produced for the shows in the summer
Please bear in mind the club has only been running for 2 months now and we are still finding a direction
If we go down the owners club route, then paid membership, membership cards, discount schemes and merchandise will be available
But at the moment we are all just enjoying a free community of like-car-owners :)

i personally don't think it's divided..... by splitting it into sections you get to chat about the car you have with people who are in the same situation, like for example the Quiky section is generally filled with how to fix all the bits that play up so often.....
those of us who use the site regularly like the feel of the site and don't have any problems, we've got a friendly group of people.
I personally think that this is the best car forum i've ever used, and i like the way it's run and the direction we seem to be going at the minute.

I don't think we're divided at all  I always look through the general, GTi and Quiksilver forums as well as the Rallye one. It's a site for any 106, so everyone is welcome and they can look and post wherever they like. I think considering the site's been going for only two months it's great, a credit to all those who have worked hard to make it (Phil especially) :)
On the first impressions point, a banner at the top would sort it out nicely ;)

What sort of banner?
Lacey
01-03-2007, 11:46 AM
I liked the old banner personally! I think you've just got to nose around.... it isn't a division it just points out where to find out stuff on a specific car... am i right in thinking we have members who don't even own peugeots???! Surely proves the point that it's not a divisionary tactic?!
If anyone has anything wrong with there 106 they post in the tec forum.

its doing well then :D, lets hope it keeps growing! i think its one of the best car forums ive ever been on.
ok sound, i've just not got used to it yet, more than grateful that this site ahs been set up, i almost went down the road of doing one myself having looked at some of the obscene other 106 sites which haven't been updated since April 04!
All in all, if i need help on something, there's always the search function eh?
2months? Ok that surprised me, seems like a damn settled community already

all the best people have been poached from other sites hehe..... but i think a lot of people are very protective over this site cos we use it so much and we know how much time and effort phil has put into it, it's his baby!
but as said.... the diff car sections aren't boundaries they just help sort one piece of information from another otherwise it would be all over the place, if ya get me?! I just post in whatever thread interests me or i can help with..... post away!

Haha thanks for the kind comments, I think we have done really well in just 2 months, although I have previous experience of running several other car clubs so tried to get things laid out as best I could right from day 1.
The "new posts" button on the menu is your best friend, it will show you all threads since your last visit regardless of what forum they are in :)
That button is god! lol
