Well today was the first official West Midlands Meet and it was declared a succes by all!!
Tom picked me up at half 9 from Stourbridge station (Thank you again mate) and we headed over to Toys R Us in Dudley. There we met Drew, XSI Ben and Beverbasha (lol best name of the group.) From there we headed over to the Fradley Arms Pub - Just off the A38, near Lichfield. It took a fair while to get there, and unfortunatly the place was not the easiest to find...it too us a good half an hour to circle around and find out we had literately passed it coming onto the A38...haha typical!
Anyway, once we got there, the four cars parked up and we had a few photos. We were just about to give up waiting for others when suddenly all these 106's started to turn up. We had a total of 9 cars there today with a couple of others just coming along to check it out. Once we had a few people, we all went inside to get a drink and have a chat and just get to know each other really. We all introduced ourselves and talked about future meets etc
Once we had finished our drinks, we went back outside to get some photos of all the cars. We had a nice mix of cars but only one phase one 106 (Mine shall return soon!!!) We had a nice lok around all the cars and heard the BEAST of an exhaust system, along with listening to the ICE of some of you. Before long we were all heading off back home, and i managed to get a few nice convoy shots and videos.
Today was great meeting you all guys, feedback is welcome (positive and/or negative)...We will be using more of a central position for our next meets guys as it was a bit too far out for some people. Any places or suggestions for another PUB MEET, or anywhere where we can go to take photos, then please let me know?
A few ideas we talked about today were great and i will looking into them all over the next few days. Flyers or leaflets for attracting new members is a great idea, you can all design your own personal ones if you wish to try and bump up your refferal ratings, or i can design a quick one for you if you want....i'd be more than happy?
