Ok... So it was about beginning of January that I first posted up my little 1.1 and i feel i got mostly a positive response

Although it may not seem a long way to have come to you guys... A cat-C miserable looking little 106 is budding into a stunner before my eyes today!

Just a reminder of what i was working with...

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Nov2006Side.jpg

And foolishly.... I forgot to photograph the original interior before TEARING it out lol. But heres an identical one found upon Ebay....

http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7401/tartanba6.jpg

Things HAD to change. There's only so many excuses you can make for an interior like that!

So - Progress has been made.

================================================== =====================

Colour coded my mirror backs ( finally! after driving around without them for weeks on end...)

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Feb2007MirrorBacks.jpg

Grabbed a bargain of a spoiler from a local breakers.... £20 still attached to a trashed tailgate of which i carted home and chizzled away at for many hours

It seems the previous owner was a fan of the 'no nails' tactic...(sigh)

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Feb2007Rear.jpg

Picked up an Alpine Ipod unit from work ( Halfrauds ) of which i got 15% off too... so worked out £85 - Dead smart lookin'

And lastly? The turning point of my year?
DRUMROLL......

Oh yes - She finally has laid her grubby little mittens on an immaculate Quiksilver interior :D

Guy at local breakers said £50 for the seats and front doorcards...
Of which i took..

Ahem...along with entire trim, rear door cards, speakers, wiring, visors, doorseals, gaitor, ashtray, the f*cking lot! Anything i could pull off before closing time. Apart from the carpet...of which the previous owner had slashed and stitched up attempting to install a sound system to the rear me thinks

Managed to pick up a Quikky carpet from another breakers for a tenner the next day so...

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Feb2007Interior.jpg

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Feb2006Rearseats.jpg

Total price : £50 - £1.30 (found whilst stripping interior) + £10 = £58.70

Am i good or what! And however slightly damp from where sunroof had been removed earlier on in week.... Dried it out and now?

Its in immaculate condition!
No rips, tears, scratches, nicks..... Just .... perfect !

Seems all my stubborn, persistant, nagging, perfectionist ways were worth it eh guys!

================================================== ==================

END RESULT

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r110/z0_bl0/Feb2007Side.jpg

Must add a HUGE thank you to all you guys who went out of your way to help me hunt down an interior that would put the smile back on my face!!!

Cheers again

Indeed... Lowering i guess will have to be next on the cards.
Your all so persistant upon it! lol

Think I'm gonna colour code the strips for now.... Sides and bumper inserts...
Then perhaps in summer ... I'll get round to smoothing....

Gotta ditch those blue dials though to per-fect the interior! Nasty business! haha

Great progress :) The grey interior goes much better with the silver car and you got a bargain spoiler  As said before, it's crying out to be slammed now :D

What's wrong with these blue dials then, eh? You don't want to be like a Rallye? :p

Lol

Slam, slam , slam - its all i hear!

Is that what i gotta do to be taken seriously round here...? lol

Cheers for the positive feedback though guys

White dials do look good if you can get hold of some of them. I think it does need to go a little lower to be honest, but not too much, shame Peugeot made them like mini 4x4s in the first place :p

Result mate! So much better inside.

Well to be honest...its just so damn high up! Lowering it will be the best plan of action. **** all the smoothing, waste of money unless its closer to show spec.

yeah looks mighty tidy now, you managed to grab some decent bargains too! That just adds to already good job.

Lowering is a must but obviously everything doesn't happen overnight

Looks great now, very tidy lil motor, you've probably added way more value than cost too which is good!:)

I guess we should mention that stealing is WRONG right now for the other forum users.

But true. Breakers around here are overpriced and put an extra percentage on top because i have breasts it seems :( They assume that i don't know how much parts are worth .....

So I see no harm in a few 'five finger discounts'... to make up for the ridicolous prices paid in the past
...and as for the toolbox? I have many ways of making my findings 'invisible' as i depart via the breakers office.... tactics of a lady :)

Not in a crude way of anything
Just my outfits have 101 openings and pockets lol .....

They are reasonable guys at the end of the day.. The smaller parts I'm allowed to take from sending so much business their way in the past few months.

Respect to the Breakers of Britain I say!

*sigh* it keeps me busy i guess lol...and im constantly learning so :(
For now eh

...And alloys? I have ickle 3 stud alloys already  Not exactly a wide choice I've heard. And 4stud conversion is beyound my income and...interest right now ....

Much better now, as you work at halfords then get some team dynamics wheels, as they do most of them in 3 stud fitment. There is more choice than anyone thinks but they have to be ordered specially so not many people want them. Some good bargains as well, i bought some white dials from halfords in the sale and that was my best bargain.
