What cage is this? Also, do you need the front bit in or can you put the rear bit (seen here) in by itself?

I think your right mate, just been on safety devices website and theres this pic: http://www.safetydevices.com/images/products/rollcages/step2_example-of-6-point-bo.gif
You can jus about make out the harness mounting points, theres another pic on site with more bolt in points which shows the harness mount points clearer.

I should imagine it's a Safety Devices cage. Don't quote me on that though.
And yeah, if you buy a half cage, then it will be just the rear half, where as a full cage, is for the whole car, obviously.
Also you can buy two different mounting types. Bolt In like Fuzz's or fully welded in to strut tops etc...
hope this helps...

From that picture, do you reckon the interior has to be totally stripped. There doesn't look to be much room down the pillar behind the doors for plastic does there.

That car was sooooo mint - literally the inside of the roof was like glass, you could eat your dinner off it!
I LOVE that cage!
Might be going in my rallye... Oooops I didnt say that. :P

all depends how you drive Dan. they will drink it if you live on motorways or go round the town hitting the limiter. but if you drive sensibly then they are fine.

Not too bad I don't think :) Considering I went from a 1.2 16v to a 1.6 8v I didn't really notice it that much. I'd say on average my 200 miles a week costs me about £20. Just depends how you drive it :D
You know it makes sense ;)

it's a safety devices 12 point bolt in cage, around £650/700.
mines an omp cage tuscan mate
rallyes? fuel?
fucking piss thru it! think most i've managed is about 280 to a tank. of late its a lot worse.
a 180 mile round trip blast cost 36 quid in fuel and i limped the last 30 miles or more cos i didnt have enough to just go for it lol. and my mate who could have gone off for fuel had just been sent home on a tow truck lol.
in general tho its wank on fuel. really wank. may just be mine, may not. my mates cammed 16v is 160bhp and uses less than my 8v. ohj and im about on a par with my mates scooby uk turbo ppp on fuel useage. no shit. 16 to the gallon is common. they live above 6k remember

He wanted to know how much Half Cages are, Fool!
Second hand off the bay, i'd expect to pay around £100/150??
But i should think your looking at at least double that for a brand spanker.

I've seen a couple go for that money. We got one for an Astra off ebay for that. Just have to do a bit of bargain hunting i guess? :)
