if you are going to upgrade to bigger better brakes, you are going to need, new disks, pads and calipers, then possibly bigger wheels as they might not fit over the brakes.
i havent upgraded brakes on a peugeot before but i have upgraded front brakes on an austin mini before from drums to disks. it is tricky but fun and you can tell a major difference
hey mate im looking to do this too the 1.1 standard brakes are a joke if your havin a bit of fun on the roads. I have 15" alloys so should be able to git an uprated brake kit under the wheels.
so jus calipers, discs and pads... thats all thats needed...????

I'll have a set of Quiksilver Calipers and Discs available soon if anyones actaully interested, makes an upgrade from a 1.1 set i believe. The master cylinder is also a very good upgrade on a 1.1.
If you want to go a step further you have the 266mm 306 XSI option, which is what i'm opting for.
Just get some 106 GTi / Saxo VT brakes will be more than enough for a 1.1 plus they are cheap about £50 for the calpers discs, pads and bolts bolt right on nice n cheap
