morning all.

just wondering if anyone can tell me what these are for...

i want to replace them for braided hoses ;).. will it be straight forward?
or do you think it would be easier to just get braided hoses and go over them, rather than replace them....

cheers.

Photos are abit close up mate. Are they electrical?
Shouldnt be a problem hard if they are.

When tis fuel lines etc it gets abit messy as some of it is under pressure n all that.

yeah i no, dont think they are elertical lines. they are normally easy to tell.

thats what im trying to find out really. dont think they are fuel lines either tho...

and i has to take them like that because they are hidden under the strut brace lol..
its the lines that come out on the rocker cover and go into the TB, they are 3 and join at a T bar...

Maybe get a picture of a bit further out and highlight the hoses.

They look a bit like oil breather hoses but cant be surer from the picture.

No idea what the 2nd one is as the pics way to close to tell where your looking

The others are vacuum hoses. One that goes off to the passenger wing and one that goes to the oil breather hole on the rocker cover

You have to use fuel/oil pipe because the oil vapours corrode normal rubber (I THINK) might be easier just to get an over-braid kit, although I have seen people replace these with like blue silion pipe so its do-able

yeah they are, its form the other side of the oil breather...

will get another pic now :)

the other is a vacum hose then by the sounds of it. its the one above the one that comes off the rocker cover.

i think an over-braid kit is my best bet then...

will be one demon-tweeks later :p

Top Pic if definate Fuel Hose. You can tell by the connector type.

Whatever you get, make sure its rated to 3.5 Bar or more, its what standard MPi Engines Fuel Regulators maximum permitted pressure.

cheers for the info about what pipes to get.

but the top pic isnt a fuel pipe. its a vacum pipe like raz said.

I am getting a few braided hoses for various engine bay things mate, but i'll also be getting some overbraid... We discussed this stuff the other day... Its the stuff you can just wrap around the standard hose... I take it your wanting the braided items just for a bit of bling..?? Nothing wrong with that, but you may aswell get braided hose covering than replacing all the hoses with expensive braided items...

Demon Tweeks sell the stuff.... :)

Yeh they're deffinatley all breather hoses, fairly easy to do the covers, ive done those hoses on mine, and the radiator top hose, and a few others too, ill take some pics 2mo for you. Got my braided hose cover kit from work for £8, back up to £35 now tho. Be warned though the hoses can be fiddly, and they turn a greeny colour after a couple of months, might re-do mine for show time.

Strange, fuel lines dont usualy have those connectors shown in the top pic, the same connectors used on 16v engines fuel hoeses on the feed and return hoses. And its only used there im sure.
