also ditch the sponges and chamois and get a wash mitt and some sort of drying towel, like meguiars water magnet. gives great results and helps prevent swirls.
i like a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to other products, use autoglym sr polish and autoglym bumper care, then i have a variety of waxes cos i'm running out. lol

Basically mate you want a mitt:

You already have shampoo so thats sorted, you need a decent tool for drying, waffle
weave one is good:

Then the tools I used for potection are Blackfire Wet Diamond:

Apply it with one of these:

Remove it with any micro fibre cloth (thats clean!!)
It will cost you about £35 to £40 for all that but you will be sorted until the wax runs
out. The only thing thats missing really from that kit is wheel protection, a wheel brush
and a gloss. The Wet Diamond will protect your paintwork and make it shine but a gloss
is great before the sealant.

BTW thats what I find works for me, obviously there are other variations of cleaning.

i use a variety of polishes always trying different stuff, but best results ive had was with some super resin polish, then a layer of collinite, works wonders and the collinite is pretty cheap and lasts forever!
