hi,

on my pug the centeral locking has been playing up the past few days the fob stopped locking the doors but will sometimes open just the driver and the boot. Also when using the key it just locks the drivers door so i have to go round the doors locking each one. Could it just be the fuse ? If so which number please.

Also my cig lighter has never worked since buying the car guessing this is the fuse or maybe a loose wire?

cheers for your help

james

Hi james,

From what you described, you got keyfob problems has i had the same with mine, i took it to a mate at citroen and he re-soldered a few connections, it smees theyre common for breaking, which is strange because the LED blinks everytime you press the button BUT sometimes it doesnt transmit.

Of course, change the 2 x 2016 Batteries inside first to see if theyre not going flat.

Only the drivers door has positional sensors so it locks the rest of the system when you lock that door, the passenger and boot has actuators only so maybe a door acturator has gone or something. Quick way to find out is to whip your passenger door card off, reach in and take the 2 pin brown connector from underneath the actuator, its held in with a clip so watch out for that.
When you lock the system either way, you should see a quick pulse of 12V either way on the connections when you lock and unlock the system.
If you have that, its most definately the actuator thats gone, if you dont have it, its the wiring from the C/L Control box by the fuses to the door.

The Cigar lighter is most definately a fuse, but i do have problems with connection on mine even when it is working, it seems that some implements plugged in dont have a clean connection, especially mobile phone charger, designed using a ruler im sure.
Strange enough, my cigar lighter fuse blew the other day for no reason.

does your horn work? as sig lighter and horn are the same fuse, if horn doesnt work then fuse has gone.

Im still betting on dry solder connections inside the Fob even with the battery change, just jump along to your nearest dealer and they may have some sort of idea whats what due to past problems, i can crack mine open and see what my mate soldered on mine too.
