Ok, I have just purchased a pair of 6x9s for my 106. I want to know how to connect them to my stereo NOT to an amp or sub etc, I went to hafords to see if they knew how to do it but the're useless! They said for me to tap into the wires in the plug (as seen in photo) I have bought some speaker wire to do this, but tapping into which wires i dont have a clue! PLEASE HELP!
if you look in the book on your headunit there will be a wiring diagram and it will show you which 4 wires are for the speakers both left and right and positive and negative

there should be little prongs that stick out of the metal bits that go into the stereo plug, just bend these in and you should be able to slide the wire out of the plug.
after that get your soldering iron on them :)
Or just use a junction box.
Snip the wires out of the head unit and put them in one side, and put the speaker cable in the other side.
Really easy.
