Oh thanks everyone for the lovely comments ;D :-* She's almost just how I want her now.

Agree with you tho on the lowering. Wasnt bothered before, but the more I see all ur bootiful quikies n GTI's I think she looks like some monster truck. Would you guys agree with dropping 30mm or more?

Swag- yeah its a full magnex zorst. Doesnt make a huge amount of noise, but purrrs nicely.

NikkiGTi

Thanx hun! Ur gti lowered? Yeah the magnex sounds just right- I used to think it was too quiet but it doesnt help that my gearbox is making that awful whining noise. :-[

well buy springs first... eibach pros... www.Kam-racing.co.uk :) 20-30mm drop.
which i think would be perfect for your car ;)
as for lowering, i would say £100 for both fitting the springs and lowering the torsion bar.
not sure about places down in the sea of swan... im sure hugh will know of someone..

Are those sportlines actually gona lower a Quiky that much though? (Just thinking that might be GTi height, which is different).

As for lowering places in South Wales, you've got me stumped. I know a mate who can do it but not sure if he does stuff like that all the time if you know what I mean. It seems to be soooo hard finding places who'll lower a Pug because of the Torsion bar.

Elin, do you want it done the 'splines' or 'mm' way and do you want uprated shocks as well?

James.G
08-01-2007, 07:15 PM
yeah they are GTI measurements, but it doesnt make that much of a different.
my 50mm ones are pretty much 50mm...

a local garge did mine for me. :)

You got bricks in your engine bay!?! Mine were GTi ones and were grossly under-lowered. You got any pics so I can see what yours looks like?

James.G

Thanks again for the lovely comments guys n gals :-*
Yeah Im back ;D lost interest in QPC in the end and what can I say - this forum is buzzing, just cant keep up with posts - and Ive got LOADS of uni work to do ahhhhhhhhh!
Thanks for your help James G and Hugh- yeah I need to get some springs sorted, looking to get her dropped around 30mm. Im a bit concerned about lowering her as the roads where I live are TERRIBLE, pot holes everywhere! Do you think dropping her 30mm will damage her?
As for "doing it the splines or mm way" its all double dutch to me :-[

love the lights huni they really suit 106 especially quiki's ;)

the exhaust suits well ive never seen one like it on a quiki but its smart

i don't think droppin it 30 is bad cause mine is 40 and i live in the countryside with loads of bumps dips and cow shit, but also on the road i use to get to ste's i have to swerve all over the road to avoid the potholes so i don't damage the car 8)

elin i got a quote for you , il pm you it and they lower it by taking the mm way not by clicks ;)
