Front Speakers !!HELP!! my 1st thread :D

hey hope u can help :)

i wanna replace my paper cones for some decent front speakers. i read in my 106 mod guide that co-axial are the best option if i dont wanna mod the door panels and should change realatively easy ;)

just wondering

what size can i get in the original speaker holes without changing anything?

and any recommendations?? (rest of my system is JBL) :rolleyes:

what sort of budget do you have mate the hertz coaxials are killer, as a few on here have had there component sets i'm sure they will give you there opinions.

Hey,

The factory speakers are 13cm speakers, in the front door panels.

These are some of the speakers I would get for under £100:

Infinity Kappa 52.7i
JBL P552
Vibe SA50 Kevlar

Yes 13cm co axials

You need to remove the bottom piece of door trim with a T20 torx screwdriver
Then the speakers are pop riveted in - which you can usually just break off, then screw the new speakers in

You'll also have to cut the pug connector off and crimp a large and small spade connector on each side

Easy peasy :)

What will be running the speakers off? Headunit or AMP? ...

Also may be a good idea to invest in some sound deadening, such as dynamat. As will stop the vibration in the door panels.
