My little '95 ski has got the original head unit in at the moment, and I'm looking to replace it. What head unit would you recommend?

The main thing I'm looking for is a rear powered USB for connecting to iPod in the glove box. Apart from that, I don't need any fancy features, just a radio and ease of use is important - I need it to be easy to choose my tunes on the road, don't want be faffing around trying to find the right track for ages lol

Does anyone know of a head unit which might do the job??

Well that's pretty wide praise for Alpine! :)

After choosing a head unit (which will be Alpine :)), will I need any convertors or anything to fit it to my 1995 106? Anything else I should be aware of? Certain models that aren't suitable etc??

1995 should have standard iso block connectors providing no one been in there before

The pioneers get my vote. Purely on looks though.

lol high five back!

Do you know what is actually different about the ski? ie what makes a ski a ski? lol

Apart from the sticker on the back of course haha

Apart from the Rallye front bumper and spoiler I haven't noticed anything different.

I dont know about you but with my ski the head unit wont be a straight fit. The connection to the standard head unit is a different style (maybe its different because its for a tape deck?) and you will need a converter, or you will have to wire it up manually. I'll get a link to what im on about in a min.

Heres the link -

This is what you will need

Cheers for the heads-up on that converter cable. I'll get one ordered when I know what head-unit I'm going for! :)

Today I bought an Alpine CDA9885 on eBay. I'm hoping it's going to be the mutts nuts. :)

Just got to get some speakers now to match! :D
