this is my girlfriends gsi which is a rare 1.8xe engine i brought it for her of ebay for £800 only to find out when i got it home it needed alot of work,everything has been done now! guess its just one of them things that happen with an ebay car!
heres the list of things that have been done
clutch kit,gearbox seal,both wishbones,track rod ends,tie rod ends,inner and outer cv boots,front discs and pads,top mounts,calibra turbo legs and shocks,oil and filter,gear box oil,antifreeze and a water hose,plus 40mm jamex springs as the ones that were on there had been cut!all this costing over £300 plus labour.
bad bits about the car still are,rear arches starting to bubble up,the drivers door is slightly lighter then the rest of the car and slight oil leak from sump and it only has 3 alloy wheels as the last owner hasnt sent me it yet as his friend is a mobile tyre fitter and apparently it was in his van wen i picked the car up haveing a new tyre!
the car has mot untill october,shouldnt be a proplem as ive replaced most things an tax untill july.
only reason for wanting another car is we have an 8yr old boy and a 9wk old boy and the rides just to hard for him and his car seat doesnt fit in the back so when we go out he sits in the front and me or my missus sit in the back which is a pain!
& she wants a GTI again we got rid of our old one because we thought it would be to small!
maybe swap or some sort of deal
