View Full Version : Tyre Size
Ok tried my mates bk alloys off his fiesta on mine, 195/50/r15 and they are too wide. what tyre size should i be looking at getting on my 106? 185 would prob solve it but i thought 195s would fit. scrub on inside arch and on the suspension at front. couldnt lower it enough to see if scraped on the wings so unsure about that

I think 195s should fit, but the wheels you tried on the car were probably in a different offset if they were off a Ford ;) Nath is the guy to ask though, just to make sure :)

iv got 195 and its fine, 195 is the normal for 106 i think?
but as said it will be the offset that makes them rub.
yeah 5mm spacers would of sorted it, they were multistud bk racing alloys, what offset should i be looking for? ill try find out the offset of his alloys i tried.

Ford alloys are 38mm offset
Peugeot are 18mm so you should run 20mm spacers with ford wheels
195 is the right width but 50 profile is too high and will scrub on square arched 106's
You need 45's mate
well the thing is they arent ford alloys, they just fit a ford, they are multistud, so fit vaxhaull, rover, ford, pug, citreon and so on.
im not putting those wheels on anyway but just wanted a rough idea so tried them. will try get 195/45's on here anyway

Tim you need 195,45,15" tyres mate.
The offset is wrong for from what you told me.
Fuzz is right you would need spacers for them. I used to have 206 wheels and used 10mm spacers.
50 tyres would be ok, but look gay!
They wouldn't rub, as long as the offset was correct.
But stick with 45 tyres as they look the best and offer the best handling too.
i had no intention of getting the wheels from toms fiesta, i just wanted to try them on to get an idea of rim size, may be getting laceys wheels when she is online ill speak as havent in about a week. but i want preferably 195/45s anyway
